Florida West Coast
Occupational Health Nurses
*********** Bridging Connections**************
Welcome to the Florida West Coast Chapter!
Thank you so much to Dr. Penello & Taiylor Wennik. They presented a very informative program on Upper Extremity Nerve Injuries and Devices used for repair of damaged nerves. Thanks to Taiylor also for sponsoring the dinner. It was quite the treat!
We enjoyed having the USF students join us also. As part of their curriculum, they must attend a professional Occupational Health meeting. Their Professor, Helen Conlon has been a member of our organization for many years and a great resource for all. Dr. Conlon NP-C is always searching for industrial and hospital occupational health sites for her students to visit. If you are interested in hosting one of the students for a day, please contact her at Hconlon1@jhmi.edu.
If you are looking to join a Chapter, we would love to have you join Florida West Coast (FWCAOHN). With the new structure, you can join at just the Chapter Level, State Level and/or National level. Please log on to the AAOHN website for membership information, or contact me at the email below to directly join our West Coast Chapter.
Our members are a diverse group of RNs, APRNs, LPNs and other dedicated health professionals who have devoted their careers to the advancement of Occupational Health. We offer at least four dinner meetings, which include a CE presentation, per year. Communication is sent out primarily by the email you have registered with AAOHN or FWCAOHN.
